Chief TD will be Josiah Hereford, floor TDs can include coaches/parents that are currently USFC certified TDs but must NOT make calls for games of their own players.

Chess sets provided, chess clocks provided for most sections starting with K-12 and working down. There is no option for the clock if it is placed. Notation sheets may be provided as well as pens and pencils. Coaches and players are responsible for being prepared with notation & writing tool, just in case. Notation is strongly encouraged for all players; without proof of the game, players can not defend their game.

NOTE - this is the annual USCF membership tournament, western Kentucky satellite location. The primary location is in Louisville, and the PTO file for this event will be submitted to the primary as a group of sections for their main event. It is reasonable to believe there may be other satellite locations throughout the state, as well. This statement is made to inform you that processing of both the event and the hundreds of new/renewed USCF memberships will take time. Please be patient.

Chess players in rated tournaments should know how to complete a game by recognizing when the game is at an end; checkmate, draw, and expired time. These players are playing independently and should already know how the pieces move, what is illegal or not, and how to conduct themselves in a tournament setting. Players, parents and coaches are strongly encouraged to review the U.S. Chess Federation's Official Rules of Chess 6th Edition, specifically conduct expectations, touch move rule, and time controls.
